Time is running out to submit stories for consideration for the WSFA Small Press Award!

The submission period for the WSFA Small Press Award will close on April 8, 2018. (You only have until 11:59pm Eastern Daylight Time to submit!)

WSFA members, authors, and representatives of a small press or periodical may submit a story. (Please go to the web link below for complete rules regarding eligibility and submission.)

The WSFA Small Press Award honors the efforts of small press publishers in providing a critical venue for short fiction in the area of speculative fiction. The award showcases the best original short fiction published by small presses in the previous year (this year’s award will be for work published in calendar year 2017). An unusual feature of the selection process is that all voting is done with the identity of the author (and publisher) hidden so that the final choice is based solely on the quality of the story.

The winner is chosen by the members of the Washington Science Fiction Association and presented at their annual convention, Capclave, held in the Fall.

Submissions should be sent to

See the webpage for details.
