Since Google honored science fiction writer Octavia Butler’s birthday today with a google doodle, we decided to dig around in the archive and we actually found a version of our May 2000 interview with Ms. Butler, recorded at Balticon 34. Author Kate Wilhelm has passed away

Fast Forward is very sad to hear that author Kate Wilhelm passed away on March 8th, 2018.

Ms. Wilhelm’s work first appeared in the 1950s, and she won many awards, including multiple Hugos and Nebulas. She and her husband, Damon Knight, helped found the Milford and Clarion writing workshops. She lived in Eugene, Oregon.
