The past several days have been tough for fans of science fiction media. First, Leonard Nimoy – best known, of course, for his portrayal of Spock on the original Star Trek – passed away on February 27th. Then, Harve Bennett, producer for several of the Star Trek movies as well as several 1970s series such as The Six Million Dollar Man and The Invisible Man, died on March 4th. Then, the next day, Harrison Ford (yes, Han Solo, Indiana Jones, Blade Runner‘s Deckard – that Harrison Ford) was seriously injured crashing his vintage airplane!
We wish Mr. Ford a complete and speedy recovery!
While it’s nice to see the tributes and watch the old clips, I’d rather see a little less SF in the news and just keep these people around a little longer.
I just hope that this isn’t an indication of how the rest of the year is going to go…
